fall butter board with fig, orange zest, pistachio and honey

Writer's picture: Meagan CurrellMeagan Currell

I tried the viral butter board for happy hour and it was DELISH. To be honest I wasn't too sure about sharing a big slab of butter with people... but I placed a few cute knives down for everyone to scoop the butter up and spread it on the toast! The honey and orange zest combo is unreal, and the pistachios add some protein and crunch. Not to mention it pairs perfectly with a cabarnet.

Hope you enjoy! xo

ingredients

4 oz kerigold butter

2 figs, thinly sliced

1 tbsp pistachios

1/2 peach, thinly sloced

1 tbsp Mike's hot honey

1 tsp sea salt

1 tbsp orange zest

1/2 lb bread, toasted (I used Iggi's bread and sliced into squares)

1 tbsp olive oil

recipe (makes 10 servings)

  1. slice bread into small pieces that are about 2" x 2" squares

  2. drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat (option to use olive oil spray instead)

  3. place in the oven on broil for 10 mins (flip bread over halfway through to evenly brown each side)

  4. spread the butter on a wooden cutting board in a thin layer

  5. add slices of fig and peach on top of butter

  6. drizzle with honey, sprinkle with sea salt, and top with pistachios and orange zest

  7. dip the bread into the butter and enjoy!
